SHAWN WELCH
Sergeant Welch holds the position of Contra Costa County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association President and Emergency Services Division. I have been with the Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff since December of 2003. I have been on the Board of Director’s for the CCC DSA since 2012. I was appointed to the position of Vice President in 2014 and then President in 2015. During my time at the Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff I have worked and been assigned to the following positions; Martinez Detention Facility, City of Orinda, Bay Station, North Richmond Resident Deputy, Specialized Patrol Unit/J-Team, and Investigation

LUCKY CHESTNUT
Sergeant Chestnut has been a member of the Office of the Sheriff for 12 years. He was elected to the DSA Board of Directors in 2009 and was elected to the Vice President position in 2015. He has completed assignments in every detention facility, and assignments in County Patrol at Bay Station, North Richmond Resident Deputy, Narcotics Detective and is currently the Patrol Sergeant for the contract city of Orinda.

ERINN RILEY
Erinn is a Dispatch Supervisor in the Communications Center. She began working with the Office of the Sheriff in March of 1997. She was elected to the DSA Board. In 2006 and also elected to the e-board position of Secretary. Erinn has been a Supervisor for the last 13 years. She has held positions as the Communications Training Supervisor, and Communications Training Instructor. She is on the SWAT Tactical Dispatch Team and Peer Support. Prior to working with the Office of the Sheriff Erinn was a Dispatcher with the City of Davis Police Department.

BRIAN HOLLAND

BRIAN FITZGERALD
Sergeant Fitzgerald has been a member of the Office of the Sheriff for 16 years. He worked at the Martinez Detention Facility as a line staff deputy and in the Classification Unit. In the Patrol Division he worked at the Muir, Bay, and Valley station houses as well as a member of the J-Team. He transferred to the Investigations Division and work on a California Department of Justice CASE taskforce, and as a Narcotics Detective. He is currently assigned as the supervisor of the Air Support Unit. Sergeant Fitzgerald also holds collateral duties as a firearms instructor and is a member of the SWAT team.

JOSH PATZER
Lieutenant Patzer has been with the Office of the Sheriff since 2000. Lieutenant Patzer is currently assigned to the Civil/Warrant Service Unit and is the OIC for the Mutual Aid Mobile Field Force for the County. He has been assigned to the following positions:
Martinez Detention Facility, West County Detention Facility, Marsh Creek Detention Facility, Court Services, County Patrol, Oakley Police Department, AC Transit, Investigations, Office of Emergency Services, Transportation, SERT, and SWAT Lieutenant Patzer is a firearms instructor and Force Options instructor. Lieutenant Patzer served in the United States Marine Corps before joining the Office of the Sheriff. He has been on the DSA Board since January 2018.

MONICA PRYOR
Monica Pryor has been with the Office of the Sheriff in the capacity of Dispatcher since 2005. She was elected to the DSA Board of Directors in January 2016. She has been active in the training program as a Communications Training Officer since 2008, and at the Sheriff's Academy as a Certified CLETS Instructor.

ANTHONY ROSSI
Detective Anthony Rossi, I have been with the Office of the Sheriff since 2006. I am currently assigned to the Sheriff's Office Special Investigation Unit/Narcotics Division. I worked custody at MDF, County Patrol at Delta, Muir, Valley and Bay Stations. I was a member of the J-Team before being selected to Investigations. SWAT team member since 2011.

CASSANDRA SMITH
Cassie has been with the Office of the Sheriff since 2015. She has worked at MDF, West County, Classification Unit, and Patrol. She has been active in training Deputies and Academy Recruits in firearms.

THOMAS MAGUIRE
Deputy Tom Maguire has been with the Office of the Sheriff since 2020. He has worked at all three custody facilities and is currently assigned to the Recruiting Unit. Deputy Maguire teaches several topics at the Academy. Prior to the Office of the Sheriff Deputy Maguire retired from the California Highway Patrol where he served on their Board of Directors for several years. Deputy Maguire is also a United States Navy veteran.

Our members are more than just law enforcement officers. They're part of the fabric of this community. And while we work every day to protect our neighbors, we can't do it alone. We can only do our jobs with the support of our wonderful community.
